Let's Meet Up!
I love helping fellow photographers with:
- In-person sales (IPS)
- Crafting the client experience
- Client workflow
- Dubsado CRM
- Product and session pricing
- Session techniques and tips for pets*
*If you wish to work on actually photographing a pet, you must provide either your own or a friend's pet. I will not bring anyone on a client session. A model/property release must be signed by the pet's owner.
In-person private one-on-one mentoring sessions in the Pittsburgh area are designed to address your specific questions and individual needs. From mastering the client experience to pricing profitably, we'll focus on your specific needs and questions to plan out an in-depth road map to cultivating a profitable pet photography business.
Contact me now to schedule your in-person mentoring at $120/hour.
Here's What My Mentoring Clients Have to Say...
"Jessica mentored me with pet photography and the session was nothing short of amazing. She helped me learn about my camera and proper settings and also Photoshop [with] removing leashes (not to mention her “bag of tricks” and ideas on photographing difficult clients). Please contact her if you love animals because she truly is wonderful. Thank you, Jessica, for your time, your knowledge, and your patience. (Bandit misses you.)" - Tracy Ann of Tracy McKee Photography
How much time should I book?
In-person mentoring sessions are scheduled by the hour. I generally recommend starting with a two-hour session so we can begin with a solid deep dive into your business goals and how we can get you to where you want to be. Understand that if you are just starting your business or transitioning to IPS, you may need additional time or several mentoring sessions.
If you want to work on session techniques or tips for photographing pets and you have experience with your camera settings, you can start with one hour. If you feel you'll need more guidance in using your camera during this time as well, please book two hours to ensure sufficient shooting time.
When and where do you offer mentoring?
In-person and phone mentoring for clients working on the business side is typically offered Monday mornings as well as throughout the day and evening on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. For convenience, I offer three meet-up locations: one in Beaver County, another in Robinson Township, and one in the South Hills.
In-person mentoring in which we will be working on photographing a pet or session techniques is offered in early evening during my typical shooting times, weekdays and Saturdays only. I can provide my recommended location list or I can assess your suggested location for feasibility.
Can I shadow you on an actual session?
Nope! My client sessions are focused solely on my clients and their pets. Bringing along extra bodies is distracting to both the pets and their people and can disrupt the flow of the session.
I am happy to work with you and a pet; however, you must provide either your own dog or a friend's. Please be aware that you will be required to sign and submit an electronic mentoring contract that contains a liability waiver and property/model release for any pets that we will be working with.
How do I schedule a time?
Contact me using the button above. Once your inquiry and payment are received, you will be sent a link to my online calendar to choose a day and time that works for you based on my available times.
How do I pay for mentoring?
Full payment is due to reserve your mentoring time. Payment must be made via credit/debit card via your online invoice, which is securely processed via Square.
All payments are non-refundable; however, you are welcome to reschedule your mentoring session per my availability and apply your payment to a different date.
Can we just do a phone call?
Sure! If getting together is not a possibility due to location or your schedule, I'm happy to do a Zoom call. Zoom calls are offered in 30-minute increments at $90/half-hour. Reach out using the button above to get started!
