The Benefits of a Post-Session Guide in Enhancing the Client Experience

A pet photography session is so often an entirely new and unfamiliar experience for many. You pushed through the discomfort of making the call for your pre-session consultation, made strides in understanding what to expect when preparing for your dog photography session, and–with an I-can’t-believe-it expression of delightful surprise–gushed to me all throughout your session at how well your dog is doing…even when the internal chaos of that moment feels like a three-ring circus.

But now what? Well, we’ve reached my–and my clients’–favorite part: the reveal and ordering appointment. Your reveal and ordering appointment is perhaps the most exciting part because it’s the first time you’ll see your images! Together, we’ll choose your favorites, view product samples, and finalize how you wish to enjoy your images in your home. You’ll also place your order at this time.

OK, that may all make sense on a surface level. You understand the processes. You’re excited about the possibilities…yet you’re feeling subtle waves of this underlying uncertainty. Now what? What’s next?

And that is completely 100% normal and expected. And that’s exactly why I’ve created a post-session guide designed to bridge the gap between a successful session and your reveal and ordering appointment.

Inside this electronic magazine-style PDF, which hits your inbox shortly after your session, you’ll find a roadmap of our next steps along with

  • Specific tips to help you prepare for your reveal and ordering appointment,
  • A review of available products and suggestions on how to choose the best options for your needs and style,
  • Helpful recommendations for submitting your room photos for mock-ups, and
  • Answers to the most frequently asked questions clients have heading into their reveal and ordering appointment.

In next week’s post, we’re wrapping up this series and your Pittsburgh pet photography experience by diving into the answers to my most frequently asked questions surrounding products and your custom pet portraits.
