A Peek at a Pittsburgh Pet Photography Workshop

This past June, I had the opportunity to work with world renowned pet photographer Nicole Begley of Charlotte-based Nicole Begley Photography during a pet photography workshop she hosted along with Heather Lahtinen of the Flourish Academy.

This intimate workshop was held in downtown Pittsburgh near Schenley Plaza and Phipps Conservatory, some of my favorite spots in the city to shoot. With a perfect balance of city vibes and green space,  this location offers lots of diversity for your session and  is guaranteed to produce a variety of images thanks to several nearby locations that range from a sprawling park with beautiful trees to buildings with the most intricate architecture that jut up toward the sky.

Nicole covered a variety of techniques and tips, answered questions, and shared some of her go-to shooting spots around the city. Afterwards, workshop attendees were given shooting time as well. Here are a few of my favorites that I captured during the workshop. A big thank-you to Vinnie, Uzo, and Adora for lending a paw as our models!
