Gus the Blue Heeler – Pittsburgh Dog Photography

There’s a quote by Thorn Jones: “Dogs have a way of finding the people who need them, filling an emptiness we don’t even know we have.” Such was the case for Robert and his Blue Heeler Gus.

Shortly after his dog Bubba passed away, Robert’s friends invited him to come over and see some of the new puppies that they had bred. The one who took the most interest in Robert became his best buddy, Gus.

Photographing Gus for his upcoming feature in the 2019 Dreaming of Three pet calendar was a breeze! He was such a good boy–the perfect mix of spunk and discipline–and posed so patiently while we worked to capture a variety of potential calendar images.

Robert is a huge supporter of Dreaming of Three and Gus, of course, has become a familiar (and favorite) face at many of its events. I know many of their friends will be looking forward to seeing this furry face in next year’s calendar!

Do you think you know which one made the cut? You’ll have to wait until the calendars go on sale this fall to see if you’re right!
