Back in February, I received word from LUXlife Magazine that I had been nominated for its Pet Products and Services Awards 2023 for my “extensive expertise within a given field or discipline, dedication to customer service, and client satisfaction with an ongoing commitment to excellence and innovation.”
At that time, I only knew that I was nominated, not the specific accolade for which I was in the running, but to say I was honored would be a colossal understatement. That’s because these sixth annual awards specifically recognize those companies and individuals defining the luxury pet market; to be shortlisted among the handful of pet photographers from across the world only reinforced that I was delivering the level of service and value for which I continuously strive.
About the Pet Products and Services Awards
The Pet Products and Services Awards are widely inclusive, encompassing all areas of the pet industry, from behaviorists and boutiques to massage services and subscription boxes—and everything in between!
The Awards operate an open-vote policy in which votes are cast anonymously through LUXlife Magazine‘s voting portal; however, the number of votes is not directly influential to the ultimate category winners as nominees are evaluated carefully by specialist researchers who put them through a period of extensive evaluation prior to judging and determining the final decision.
“To determine the results, the LUXlife judging panel and research team take into consideration the commitment, expertise, and innovation shown by nominees through nomination information, voting information, [and] any supporting evidence/samples supplied, along with the results from their own extensive period of fact-checking and research,” elaborates Awards coordinator Holly Blackwood.
Most Prestigious Dog Photographer 2023
In March, I was officially awarded the title of Most Prestigious Dog Photographer 2023 (USA)! This esteemed recognition is an incredible honor that has left me wonderfully surprised and deeply grateful. At its core, it’s a testament to the countless hours of dedication and love I have poured into crafting the Bark & Gold experience.
I want to express my sincere gratitude to LUXlife Magazine for awarding me this prestigious accolade. To be acknowledged among such talented pet photographers, including my friend Karen Black with Indigo Pet Photography in Canada and my life-changing business mentor Alex Cearns of Australia’s Houndstooth Studio, is truly humbling. This award serves as a motivation for me to continue elevating my client experience to provide the most unique and meaningful experience that I can.
